  • Any real financial reporting should contain full disclosure, should it not? However, this book contains NO financial disclosure of any kind. Quite possibly because beyond a lesson in macro-economics, contained in any freshman economics textbook, there is no real information to be gleaned here. This is another in a series of bad books from the Rich Dad library. That is not to say that there are not good books in the series, but be warned that the latest books are redundant with little or no new information. If you are looking to this series as a serious investor, stick with the earliest books, as they are quite good. This however is not one of them.

  • Look at the gold market, it climbs to dizzying heights fast and then it plunges even faster. You are left to wonder, “Who is doing this?!” Can it be extremely wealthy idiots? Then it all falls into place, the people placing the “bets’ are not playing with their own money, the rubes are being taken advantage of as they have been since time immemorial. Visualize an old Western town and a waggon rolling in with bright letters painted on both the canvas cover and side boards proclaiming the wonders of “Doctor” Mephistopheles and his magic elixir. The shyster starts his spiel offering the ’secret of the ages’ not for a dollar, not even fifty cents, but a mere two bits, yes one quarter will cure all that ails you.

The real money is not being made on the movement of silver and gold, it’s being made on the commissions paid to the descendants of the snake oil peddlers by the offspring of yesteryear’s rubes.
